Sunday Funday

The weekend is coming to a close, but oh boy it was a good one!

Friday I...stayed home and went to bed early! Hah! But I was able to go to Highland Park high schools first pep rally of the year! So fun!

Saturday was Mark's bday!! So fun! Mark is one of my best friends! He is the life of the party and an awesome friend! Not to mention a delightful dancer!! So obvi we danced the night away.

Moving on to Sunday! After church this morning was lunch at my grandmas---yum!---and then I had a nanny interview! So you may now call me "Nanny Alexa" Mmhmm that's right y'all! Haha I'm so excited and can't wait to share fun stories from the boys (3&5) and the wonderful parents! I am truly blessed!

Well you're now caught up on my weekend of fun! I hope everyone has had a relaxing Sunday!


P.s. Are y'all watching the VMA's?!! Beyoncé is my idol and Anyone who knows me knows that! Haha and preggo?!! EXCITED OVER HERE!!!'n She killed her performance also! Lady Gaga is craycray. (also love that my phone has recognized that word!) Britney Spears is amazballs! And loved the Bruno Mars performance! So sweet! Music is so uplifting. Okay, that's cheesy but you understand. Don't you? Okayyzzz errybody! I'm gonna finish this and head to bed!

Trippin ova Tuesday

Here's what:

Lately, I've been trippin ova quite a few things! After graduation I was on thiz whole, "must find grown peoples clothes that can also look amazballs on me all while still looking preppy" kick. (right?!) AND I'm to-TA-lay still on it.

What I must have right meow is:

I see myself wearing these loafers with the Cafe Capri pants in khaki from J.Crew with a button down & sweater vest. Is it completely lame that I luuurrve the sweater vest?! J.Crew also has one right now in stores and online thats way cute! So does New York & Co. for cheap!

My hairs today are curly. I never curl them ever because #1) I can't use a curling iron on myself and #2) I look kind of silly with curly hair! BUT today after running some errands for moms I went and bought a curling iron from Wally World. It's a Remington "curling wand". One of those non-clamping irons! I loved it! It even comes with your own creepy black heat resistant glove


...awesome. So anyways I curled my hairs and actually liked the result. Here is a peek at how it turned out! I may not be the best photographer and in this picture my hair look dirty (it's not!) but you kind of get the idea! Soft, easy to do waves! And if u can't use a curling iron like the bitchy ones with clamps, then I totally suggest this one!!

Just Another Manic Monday

...Wish it was Sundayyy.. Or more like Friday! Haha okay too much!

Happy new school year to my teacher friends and also to my "still-in-school" friends!! Woo!! Hope that went wonderful for everyone! And not manic at all!

My awesome day consisted of cleaning (slightly), searching for jobs, making my dream purse online, and making a lowfat WW casserole for momz and me!

Asked momz for a good/scary book to read and she gave me this:


The Dwelling by Susie Moloney. I am totes intrigued and will post updates! I'm hoping that it's a page turner and not one of those books that sits on muh nightstand for a year! Hah! That's the usual.

Simple Sunday

Who loves having neighbors from Spain?!! I DO! I DO! So this afternoon, our wonderful neighbors brought over some delish Spanish cuisine! I'm talking homemade (hot as balls!) salsa with cut up limes and tomatoes, and also grilled barbacoa! YUM!



Here is the deliciousness! Food coma brought to you from yours truly.

On a less awesome note--I woke up sick today :( boo!! For now I'm all jacked up on meds and catching up on True Blood. A real simple Sunday for me.

Get Stupid Saturday

Heeeeyy! Hoooo!!

It has been one long minute since I have blogged. And now, since I have graduated college (HOOLLLLAA) and am I currently unemployed... I have so much free time.

So, lets get real that is nothing to brag about BUT its a lot to talk about.

Here's how I am doing my Get Stupid Saturday:
1. Hung up my curtains. FINALLY.
2. Sang loudly around my house and made a big deal about how great it sounded to my mom and Broski #1
3. Made cheesy potatoes
and lastly..
4. I'm getting ready to celebrate one of my BBFFFE's birthday, ALEXIS!
